Price of hotels always higher on app

As much as I would like to get triple points when booking on Expedia app I have found the last FOUR times when I have had my laptop opened to final screen of hotel purchase and app at final screen of EXACT same hotel , the Expedia app is always $8-$20 more.WHY?
In addition I am not able to locate how to get my Expedia coupons into my selection or my Expedia+points which could both decrease the price. Lastly, Expedia needs to educate their Customer Service reps as one had no idea what I meant by triple points and another time while booking rep didnt k is what I meant by Expedia+ points...? Very frustrating after waiting and waiting for assistance. More CS IN USA available who are trained properly to address all possible questions and should be recorded and reviewed do someone is hearing these discussions and training as needed.
