Everything is always so convenient and easily accessible! I love how the new app tracks points and its very user friendly! Thank you Expedia for always meeting my needs, you guys rock! By the way their customer service reps always go above and beyond with explanations and assisting with any concerns regarding past or future reservations of any sort. Thanks again, I appreciate your hard work!

Missing functionality

Waaaay too simplistic. Not able to sort flights by filters or select a class of service other than economy. Heading back to Kayak.

Not enough

It lacks ability to book Business class. It does not have historical purchases.

THIEVES

Never use Expedia! I had an emergency and couldnt make my trip. When I tried to cancel my hotel and my car 24 hours out Expedia told me they would charge me full price anyways. Ended up paying $350 for a trip I didnt even make and Expedia "Customer Service" didnt care about anything I said. Theyre thieves, dont let it happen to you.

Cant check in from the app

It sends you notifications letting you know its time to check in then does not allow you to do so.

Flights - not showing up

My credit card charged and I still cant see my flight on the App or the Website. They had to email me a confirmation. Still showing that I have no upcoming trip.

Need a bundle deals tab

Just make it known u still get the hotel discount when booking on the app. The lack of the "bundle deals" tab made me weary of booking a trip(both flight and hotel) on the app but luckily it popped up after I bought the flight but I would like one simple transaction.

Ok app, lacks key features from website

I use Expedia extensively for work travel booking. Website is great, but the app is severely lacking. You cant book combo trips (flight, hotel, rental car) which is 85% of my travel bookings. Add that functionality and it would be a great app. As it is, its annoying and costing me money. Hotwire and other apps let you do this - why not Expedia?

Reliable

I have used this app with great results. Found a great NYC hotel that I would have never found on my own.

Points

Its unfortunate that I didnt receive points as the app and website claimed. I used the service many times believing I would be rewarded -- but that didnt happen. When I initially called to point out I had not received my points, they said the points are not added until one month later. What a scam, its now three months later, and I still have received nothing!

Beware

Bad app, poor company. Strongly recommend going to other providers, especially if you expect good service. Partner benefits are taken away at will due to "technical difficulties". Expedia+ benefits accrue at a time of their choosing...still not sure when, two months after booking/payment and almost one month after returning home. If their price is best, maybe, but dont expect them to follow through on anything else.

I use it for the points...

If I did not get triple points for using the app, I wouldnt. I hate that now my points are the default method of payment, with no way to adjust that in my settings. I almost spent my points booking a hotel for someone else! I often need to book first or biz class, and cannot on the app. I would like the ability to add more stops. So-convenient for simple travel, but not for more complex travel, and needs ability to adjust payment settings.

Worked great for me, no problems at all. Got the best rate too and didnt have to pay right away.

The app and website doesnt sync

So if you book anything on the app even when you are signed in you wont see it under your bookings on the main website. It has been like this since the beginning when they first launched this app and this is still a problem. Now I cant even check my account info on this app because it keeps crashing every time. Terrible

Fraudlulent "free cancellation within 24 hours"

It is disappointing that on many flights that Expedia advertises in large, centered text is "Free Cancellation within 24 hours". Except guess what ... There is a fee that Expedia surreptitiously doesnt reimburse you for. When I called I was told there is an additional disclaimer elsewhere on the site that says the fee isnt part of the "free cancellation". Why should the large, prominently advertised "free" cancellation when booking be superseded by a separate tiny notice perhaps shown at some other time in the process? I have used Orbitz for many years, but I am done w Orbitz and Expedia.
